Frequently Asked Questions
“Every time we ask a question, we’re generating a version of a person’s life.”
-
I offer individual therapy, couple therapy, and family therapy. Sessions can be conducted in both English and Thai. I also offer both in-person and online sessions as well.
-
Multiple studies including meta-analyses show no significant difference on the efficacy between in-person and teletherapy. While majority of my clients prefer in-person sessions, others choose online sessions for convenience.
-
I offer free 15-minute phone consultations so we can talk about what's bringing you to therapy and make sure we're a good fit. It's a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. Just reach out through my contact form here, and we'll set up a time to chat. You can also just let me know you want to schedule an appointment and I will get you on the books.
-
For individual therapy, it is 50 minutes. For couple therapy, you have options of 90 minutes and 120 minutes. For family therapy, the session is 120 minutes long.
-
Our first session is all about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and make sure we're a good fit. No pressure - just an honest conversation about how we might work together.

Most clients start with weekly sessions. As you progress, we can adjust this based on your needs and goals.
-
There is no rules when it comes to therapy. Some clients come into therapy for a very specific problem and finish after 12 weeks while some clients might have been in therapy their whole life due to the complex nature of their issues or trauma. Some come into therapy hoping to leave after few months but decided to continue for much longer. I have experience with both short-term and long-term therapy. My job is not to develop dependency on therapy but help you moving forward independently once you achieve your goals. Hence, as we work and continue working together, we can discuss and check in on your goals along the way.
-
I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or miss your appointment, you'll be charged the full session fee. This policy helps ensure I can maintain time for all my clients who need support.
-
I believe in keeping things real and practical. We'll work together to understand what's going on, develop strategies that actually work for your life, and help you find your balance again. As integrative therapist, I draw from different approaches and theories such as person-centered, psychodynamic, EMDR, CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused among others. You can read more about me and how I approach therapy here.

Not at all! That's what our first session (and even our free consultation) is for. We'll talk about what's going on in your life and figure out the best approach together.
